I have been in the market for a multi-function home workout system for a few months now, and have been investigating and reading up on these products online and in sports equipment stores. While there are several products with similar features, what drew me to the Dosho was 1) the lift-assist straps, and 2) the versatility. Also, while I was initially attracted to the lower-priced equipment at the sports equipment stores, when I checked out the demos on the floor, they were often flimsy and felt cheap.
I received my Dosho gym around the holidays last year and couldn't be happier with my decision. The box arrived when it stated it would, and it was fairly quick and easy to assemble. The gym is fairly sturdy (even for a bigger guy like me) and feels like the equipment they have at the gym. I haven't experienced any of the problems that a couple of the other reviews experienced, so perhaps they've worked out all of the bugs.
I use my gym a couple times a week, and while I don't put it away between uses, I do fold the sides in so that it doesn't take up too much space in the corner of my room when I'm not using it. I recommend this gym to others that don't mind paying a bit more for a product that will last and work exactly as expected.

Although I love going to the gym I found that I didn't have time with my new job. I decided to try the Dosho Gym 5000 since it looked like I'd still get a free weight workout. The Dosho Gym is great. The dumbells adjust simply and easily and the lift assist system is like having a trainer! I've been using it regularly and it's amazing. It's also really pretty - the red metallic paint is gorgeous. It's been fantastic.

ok i am the fourth reviewer on this gym
the day i bought it on amazon there was only one review the good one
i checked my order status everyhour yes i was that excited ive never owned a home gym and ive always wanted one now 500 is pretty damn expensive and i dont have money to waste so i checked the product page and i was pretty upset reading the reviews
missing parts bad customer service a pretty bad experience it seems the other two guys had so i thought my gym was going to be a piece of garbage and i a was worried about having to go through the hassle of returning something so big and heavy would i have to pay to return it ? i didnt know
i also didnt want to deal with bad customer service so days went by and i was no longer excited as it was coming i thought it was going to suck for sure i mean i trust reviewers i buy alot of my products based on reviews and i end up pretty satisfied ok so heres the deal
shipping was not only great but fast i actually got a call 2 days before it was estimated to arrive to schedule a delivery to my apartment and when i got it damn well it was worth it
i assembled it in 45 minutes no missing parts everything in perfect order
this gym is sturdy as hell it is a rugged gym you wont likely be peeling the paint off it its very high quality i mean it looks like a lamborghini assembly was easy enough you have no idea how relieved i was when i put this thing together
the weights are awesome sturdy and tough they are great i would easily pay 250 just for the weights alone the bench is great it does all its functions well its a pretty good leg machine im sure their are better but this does everything i get a serious ab workout on this the power assist system is very good i was hooked on this gym after my first workout i know im going to get major results with this its not huge but not small it fits fine in my room it will fit great in any apartment i was eager to write this review because this machine deserves five stars

This machine is a total mess. The elastic strap broke twice. The dumbells do not fit into the cradle for leg exercises correctly.
The only exercises this machine is good for is flat and incline dumbell presses. You can buy an incline seat and dumbells much cheaper and better quality.
Im not sure why they powdercoated metal pieces that will rub against each other as that is all it will do and rub the paint off. Plus it is poorly built. Bolts do not line up for assembly and do not stay tightened. You have to check them as they will come loose.
The pins in the locks that hold the dumbells for leg presses broke about 10 times and they kept sending replacements. The handles fit too tight which stresses the cheap pins. VERY UNSAFE.
This product looks great on the internet and in the demo video but that is about it.
You can buy better equipment for exercises. This all in one machine is really not all that. Overpriced. Maybe if this was sold for $200 it would be worth it but not for the price they are charging now.

The machine has many functions, and I like that. The issues I see is it can be a little tedious putting it together as the paint is thick and does not allow the bolts to slide in. My machine came with a crooked leg attachment. It looks like it was welded at an angle and the right side sits higher than the left side. Not good. I called Dosho, they said no problem, a technician will contact me. No call, I called again and they had no idea who I was. This person told me no problem, got my information and will send it right out. I waited a week, called again to verify, and no idea who I was and that I had called before. This person told me to email the technician on my own. I decided to send an email to customer service stating I will just return the machine for a full refund. Miracuously they called me within one hour of the email and said they will create a tracking number so everything is documented and send me a new leg attachment. They did do so, but then the new leg attachment was slightly different. It had a nut welded to it where my old on did not, so it required different hardware to attach it. I emailed the same person who sent me the new part and now I have waited a week to hear from a technician about getting one bolt to put this new part on. I have offered to send pictures, everything, but no response. I am writing this review because $500 is too much money when I have not been able to properly use this machine for months. Customer Service could have made me give them a great review, but the customer service is severly lacking. I still cannnot using the leg extension and I will be returning the machine for a full refund.
